Quills to Connect seeks to build meaningful connections between seniors and youth through handwritten letters and video calls. We can all use a little bit of thoughtfulness and care during these difficult times. Through communication, we can bring joy and comfort to each other and lessen the mental strain of the pandemic.
About Us
Forming Connections
Quills to Connect is a pen-pal program founded by college students in Vancouver, Canada. Seeing the heartbreaking impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on senior homes and on mental health across the country, Quills to Connect seeks to ease the loneliness felt by many during these trying times. Our program has partnered with various senior homes in British Columbia to create pen-pal and video call programs between senior home residents and high-school/college students. Seniors are matched with a pen-pal who shares similar interests. Individual seniors not associated with a senior residence are always encouraged to join!
